[Review] The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip

Yesterday night I emptied my eye & lip makeup remover from The Face Shop and realized that I never share my thoughts on this one before.
I chose this one because I heard good reviews about this rice water series from The Face Shop. I always use an eye & lip makeup remover by the way before doing my double cleansing at night since I always feel that the cleansing oil or balm could not cleanse the eyeliner and mascara perfectly.

PACKAGING

IMG_20200716_082858_562
The makeup remover comes in light pink plastic bottle with a black cap. The bottle’s design and size is really handy and perfect for travelling.

TEXTURE & SCENT

PicsArt_07-16-10.40.38
It has two to three layers of texture inside from watery, oily and milky textures so we need to shake this first before use.
There is a light fragrance which is pleasant even for my sensitive nose.

CLAIMS

This two-phase, dual-action makeup remover gently removes makeup from the eyes and lips. Formulated with Rice Extract, it leaves skin feeling moisturized.

MY OPINION

It effectively removes makeup, but for waterproof eyeliner and mascara, I need to hold the wet cotton pad for seconds before wiping it off.
What I like from this remover is that it doesn’t leave an oily residue cast after use like any other eye makeup remover I’ve tried before.
Overall I love and satisfied with this remover. I will definitely put this on my favourite.

REPURCHASE?

Yes I would definitely repurchase this one.

[Review] Purito Defence Barrier pH Cleanser

This is my second Purito purchase after the Comfy Water Sun Block. I bought this because, first, I’ve been really curious of Purito and want to try their products more and more. Second, because it stated pH cleanser.

PACKAGING

IMG_20200712_165831
It comes in a white plastik tube. Like most of Purito product, the packaging design is also simple and clean.

SCENT & TEXTURE

IMG_20200712_170103
It has a clear gel texture for all skin type, but since they stated it is a pH neutral, so I assumed it will be perfect for people with sensitive skin.
This product does not contain artificial fragrance but there are stong medicinal scent.

CLAIMS

It claims to be a mild product with a pH of 5.5, the skin most comfortable pH for skin health which provide rich moisturizing and cleansing experience.
They stated that they strong points are excellent cleansing, comfortable and refreshing with minimal foaming that protects the skin barier, made from safe ingredients, and ensure rapid relief of skin dryness and deep moisturizing.

MY OPINION

It is a gentle cleanser that doesn’t strip my skin at all. But since it is a gentle cleanser, I dont really feel that this one takes away dust pretty good. When I use toner after even the double cleansing, I still find dirt or dust left on my cotton pad.
As for scent, I don’t really like the medicinal scent. I am getting used to it now, but still don’t like the smell.

REPURCHASE?

Overall, I like this cleanser, but I don’t think I will repurchase it solely because of the scent, but the rest is okay for me.

[Review] Olivarrier Skin Barrier Dual Moist Comfort Cream

I did not really pay attention on this brand before, but one day I really need a light but provide deep moist cream. I searched for recommendation online and get to know this Olivarrier Dual Moist Cream.
Currently I’m using it on rotation with some other creams. Here are my thoughts on this cream.

PACKAGING

PicsArt_07-04-10.29.25
This cream come with a tall and slim plastic tube. Nothing special from the packaging, but I do really like their slim and compact design, also how they keep the packaging design simple with only use two tone colours of white and grey.

SCENT & TEXTURE

PicsArt_07-04-10.34.06
This cream contains expert ratio of both moisture and oil to keep skin perfectly hydrated and balanced.
It said the lightweight texture is fresh like a gel, but provides deep and long-lasting moisture like a heavy cream.
It also an unscented cream which is a really plus point for me.

CLAIMS

It claimed to have relieve dryness and restore elasticity and helps soothe stressed skin.

MY OPINION

For me the cream works like the claims. It provides long lasting moisture. Even after I wash my face with water before prayer, the moisture is still there.
For those with a dry, combination and sensitive skin, the cream would be perfect.
The fact that it does not have any scent is a really big plus points.
I need to apply it by patting it on my face and makes sure your prior skincare (toner, essence or serum) are fully absorbed before you put this, because it leaves white cast if you put it on a damp skin.

REPURCHASE?

I don’t think so. This is a good product, but I need to find another cream that will sattisfied me more.

It comes in a 200 ml clear plastic bottle with a flip cap and it has such a clean and simple packaging design. I really love this kind of packaging.

TEXTURE & SCENT

It has a watery texture which soak right into the skin without any noticeable fragrance. It is moisturizing enough to prep your skin for other products to layer on top of.

CLAIMS

The 1095 Dokdo toner is claimed to helps exfoliate and moisturize skin for healthy, dewy skin with comforts.

MY OPINION

After 4 months trying this product, I can say that it gives very good amount of moisture to my skin. This product also good for those with sensitive skin (like me).
It is a watery refreshing toner which does not leave any stickiness to your skin.
I am really in love with this toner and I will put this one into my favourite toner list.

REPURCHASE?

I will definitely repurchase and keep this on my skincare stash even while I am trying another toner. I even recommend this product for those of you with normal, combination and sensitive skin. You should at least give it a try.

[Review] Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Toner

Oh my God, it’s been two years since my last post and time really flies. I had so much things to handle and could not dedicated my time for doing a full skincare review, but I still doing my mini reviews on Instagram.
So I guess I will start my review with this Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Toner.
I always want to try this toner back then when I saw this in almost every K-beauty lover. But there are lots of other products I also want to try and I promised myself to only focus on one product for each skincare category.
Now, after I finished my so loved Round Lab Dokdo Toner, I decided to try this and here my thoughts on Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner.

PACKAGING

IMG_20200703_231551
It comes in a brown plastic bottle with a flip on cap. I like their simple and slim bottle (most toner came with a big bottle).

SCENT & TEXTURE

It has a very watery consistency like any other toners. It also has a herbalish scent which I don’t really like.

CLAIMS

It claimed to be effectively balance your skin, add extra dose of luminosity to your complexion, help calm and reduce pigmentation (incl. acne scars and dark spots), also helps the rest of the products in your routine absorb better.

MY OPINION

From all of those claims, I feel like this toner indeed did a good job on balancing my skin and also give some kind of glowing factor. I don’t really know about reduce acne scars and dark spots since I don’t have any. And yes it helps rest of my skincare absorb better.
In conclusion no wonder this toner considered to be one of the best K-Beauty toner. They did a good job in delivering all of their claim.

REPURCHASE?

I won’t repurchase since I don’t really like the scent.

[Review] Skin Care – Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Foam

Hi, there! I am going to review the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Foam today. The reason I bought this product is because I want to try another Korean skin care product and I noticed that Innisfree brand famous for its natural ingredients. So I started googling, searching Innisfree cleansing foam review and decided to gave this product a shot.

image

The moment I write this review, I already finished the cleanser. So I think I am eligible to write the review.
Packaging : I like the color of the packaging (combination light brown and dark brown). Like any other cleanser it comes with tube packaging, so nothing special.
Ingredient List:
Water, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, PEG-32, Butylene Glycol, Potassium Hydroxide, Lauric Acid, Hydrated Silica, Lauryl Glucoside, Volcanic Ash (Jeju Scoria), Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, Disodium EDTA, Lauramide DEA, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Mannitol, Silica, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polyquaternium-7, PEG-100 Stearate, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance

Most of Innisfree products is having 5 free system: parabens, synthetic colorants, mineral oil, animal-originated ingredients, imdazolidinyl urea. So I think this product is safe for my skin.

I have a normal to dry skin. I have had an oily skin (mostly in T-zone area) back then, but aging makes my skin normal tend to dry sometimes.

The cleanser is having a granules in it so I think it also has an exfoliant function. But the granules is very soft and disappear after we rub it to the face.
Even though this product contains of fragrance, but I like the smell. It’s very soft fragrance. For me who doesn’t like skin care with fragrance feels that the fragrance is tolerable.
And the most important is after I wash my face with this product my skin doesn’t feel stiff at all, it gives a supple feeling.
I bought this product online from http://www.koreabuys.com for only IDR 99,000 or around USD 8. So it is a value for money product.
So, would I repurchase? Yes, I will. For a USD 8 product, it has a good quality.
