Hello, it’s been months since my last post. I’ve been busy preparing the hotel for upcoming holiday but here I am today reviewing one of most possitive reviewed K-Beauty products out there : Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule.
I always want to try this product long long ago but gathering all the possitive and negative review of it then come up with the decision to give it a try.
It is dark purple pipette glass bottle packed in a dark purple box. The packaging colour and design is giving an exclusive impression even though I am not a fan of dark purple color.
SCENT & TEXTURE
It is a light consistency with light brown with no significant scent make it easy to layered with another products.
WHAT IT CLAIMS?
Anti aging serum to brighten and smooth aging skin.
I have a hight expectation on this product since lots of possitive feedbacks about this, but up until I finished the bottle, I don’t really find any significant result on this.
The plus point is the lightweight consistency, while for brightening effect I dont really see any result. Indeed it smoothen my face a little but only I use this twice a day for morning and evening skincare routine while they called it a night repair.
No. I will try another product since I am sure there are products with better performance and affordable price out there.
I have been a fan of COSRX since they produced products that mostly create possitive effects on my skin with an affordable price. I have tried their snail essence, oil free ultra moistirizing lotion, and low pH good morning gel cleanser.
I have been using their snail essence and very happy with the result, so I continue with this Galactomyces essence. Whether this product is a hit or miss please check the full review below.
As we talk about the packaging, like any other COSRX product, they are being consistent with the white simple box and I like it. I find it clean and simple. While the essence itself packed in a clear plastic bottle with pump, so it is safe for me as a mother of an active kids.
TEXTURE & SCENT
The texture watery but not as liquid as MISSHA First Treatment Essence or SK-II FTE. I have to pump twice to get a proper amount to cover all of my face and neck. It also does not have any fragrance and it is a double plus point for me.
WHAT IT CLAIMS
Anti aging, reduce wrinkles, hydrates skin, reduce hyperpigmentation, make a glow and radiant skin, whitening effect, lighten acne scars.
Honestly after using it more than a month, I still not see a significant result. For hydrating effect, I do feel it once I put it on my face, but it does not stay long. As for any other claims, I also did not feel it in my skin.
The plus points are how they absorb quickly into my skin and how it does not contain any fragrance. While the plastic bottle also considered to be a plus point for me.
I will try another essence or back to COSRX snail essence.
Today I’m going to review one of the best cleanser I’ve been using : Skinfood Bitter Green Clay to Foam. For me my best ranking cleanser should be at first does not stripped my face. That is the most important for me.
So let’s get started.
I’m in love with the color of their packaging once I saw it online and make a rush decision to give it a try. The green color feels relaxing for me. It reflects the ingredients of the foam, which is contains of 5 main ingredients : wheat sprout, kale, celery, broccoli, and cabbage as mentioned on their packaging.
I bought this online from a local online shop and get a IDR 150.000 price (USD 11.5).
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
As I search on the internet, SKINFOOD’S Bitter Green Clay to Foam contains Amazonian clay to absorb pore-clogging impurities. It said to be quicker than a mask and more thorough than a foaming cleanser.
TEXTURE & SCENT
The texture more like a clay mask. But it turns into bubbles after we put some water.
I like how it smell so refreshing with a proper amount of scent so it doesn’t bother me as an unscented skincare lover.
There are several possitive points I give to this product. I like how Korean product (including this one) could provide you a good quality with a very affordable price. This cleanser clearly does no strip my face and I give a very high point for this. Even though there’s a slight scent it does not bother at all. As a second cleanser after a cleansing oil, I feel that this product have a good cleansing task. My skin feels very soft after I apply this product. It feels lightweight, non greasy and soothing.
I try to search for the cons or the negative point but I could not find one. So I’m going to skip.
I always want to try this product since a looong time but never been decided to buy since the pros and cons from every review I have read. But then I decided to give it a try and here I am making a review about Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence after use almost half of the bottle.
The packaging comes with a frosted glass bottle in the silver box. I like the silver box and the frosted glass bottle itself because it makes the product look exclusive and expensive. The only problem is that it made of glass. I just could not imagine if I put it on the edge of the table and slip, then the whole product only become memory. So, I think it will be better if they don’t put it in a glass bottle.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
This product full of 80% fermented yeast concentrate which could absorbs into skin instantly and energize the skin. It claimed to be improving fine lines and skin tone.
This is the first step in the skin care routine after cleansing. Use your palm and absorb gently and evenly onto your face.
TEXTURE & SCENT
The texture is watery almost the same with SK-II FTE but the color is more clear compare to SK-II which is more yellowish. I am so happy because it is an unscented product.
I use this after cleansing and apply toner so it is not practically my first step of skin care routine after cleansing for me. From their claim of the product’s effect, I feel the my skin tone more even now. Besides that this product surely hydrated and yet it feels so light also. You also could use this as a mask by pouring it to the square cotton pad then put the cotton pad in your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
From what I feel after use half of the bottle, I feel this product have been fulfill most of their promises. Now I know why this product been very popular. You will feel more great result if you combine this with the MISSHA Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule. I will review this product soon.
Almost all of it is a hit, the only miss is the glass bottle. I really hope that Missha will think about it and come up with a non glass bottle. Maybe they could use the SK-II FTE packaging for reference.
Yes definitely I’m going for my second bottle right after I finish this.
Hello! Today I want to share about beauty products that I use almost every day. There are combination between western, Japanese and Korean products. I am a fan of Korean products because I feel that I could get a good quality beauty products with more affordable price, but there are also some western products I cannot switch.
About 3 years ago I try this loose powder because my mom is a big fan of SK-II products. I like this product and use it everyday because it feels very light on my skin, the value for money comparison also make sense. I bought this product around IDR 580.000 (USD 44.5) but it takes almost a year for me to complete this. I have been use another loose powder brand before, for around IDR 350.000 (USD 30) the content is less than half of the SK-II.
ETUDE HOUSE DRAWING EYE BROW
This is my third purchase of this product. The price is very affordable, I bought it for IDR 35.000 (USD 3) in a local online shop. The shade really match my eyebrow color and the shape of the eyebrow pencil tip makes it easier for me to apply this on my eyebrow. I use the #02 shade, it is a gray brown shade.
ETUDE HOUSE OH! M’ EYE LASH VOLUME MASCARA
For me, mascara is not a product that I cannot leave behind. I use it everyday, but if I forget and don’t bring it along while I travelled, I’ll survive. So my mascara dictionary is not rich. I only ever bought 3 brands my whole life. This product is enough for my daily natural makeup. I bought it for IDR 50.000 (USD 3.5), very affordable.
I always use blusher everyday. This is one of product I cannot live without. I even use blusher once I go for a jog. For blusher brand I have been tied up to MAC. The color range is rich, the price is normal, and it really pigmented to the point sometimes I feel that it takes ages for me to complete the product.
URBAN DECAY NAKED 1 EYE SHADOW PALETTE
This Urban Decay eye shadow palette is one of my favourite palette. It is indeed quite pricey but I am very satisfied with the result. With the help of Urban Decay Primer Potion, the eye shadow colour come up very beautiful and pigmented. So if I consider the result, I don’t mind buying this product for IDR 700.000 (USD 58.5). But the problem of buying eye shadow palette is we never use all of the shades. I only use 5 out of 12 shades for my daily application. My favourites are : Virgin, Darkhorse, Hustle, Creep and Gunmetal.
LANEIGE TWO TONE TINT LIP BAR
Laneige is one of my favourite Korean beauty product brand. The lip products also my top favourite. This two tone tint lip bar is the new version of previous two tone lip bar with more moisturized and glossy result while delivering the strong colour. For those who hate to have two lip product for gradient look, this product give the best solution with satisfying result. I’m in love with this. I use the #08 Cherry Milk colour as my favourite.
Have you try any of this products? And what do you think of them? Please share in comment below. Thanks for stop by. Love.
Hi, now I will review Neogen Real Fresh Green Tea Cleansing Stick. I choose this product because I was looking for a more solid and travel friendly cleanser and come up with this product.
I bought this for IDr 150.000 (USD 11.5) from one of local online shop via Instagram. Here are my review about this product.
I think the basic concept of this product is a travel friendly cleanser with a very deep cleansing result so you can skip a double cleansing method. Also worked as a gentle exfoliator with the green tea crush inside this cleansing stick.
IMPRESSION & OPINION
My first impression of the packaging is compact and travel friendly and it matches my searching criteria for a cleanser. Solid cleansing stick with a green transparent plastic container. I won’t be worried this product will spill.
The moment i read the direction of use, honestly I find it a bit awkward to apply the stick directly to my damp face. I think it is less hygienic.
For a unscented skincare lover, I don’t like the strong scent of this cleansing stick.
Another annoying thing is it sting my eyes whenever I use this product, so I have to make sure I have been clean it completely with water before I open my eyes.
After using this product I feel my skin is very tight and I should directly apply a face mist, beauty water or hydrating toner after to maintain my skin moisture.
PROS & CONS
Pros : price relatively affordable, shape and packaging is travel friendly.
Cons : too strong scent to the point I annoyed with it, it makes my skin tight after using it, sting my eyes.
Nope. Too much cons for me, so I will try another cleanser.
Hi! Welcome to mamihika.com. I would like to review one of famous Korean skincare product : Mizon All in One Snail Repair Cream. I just tried this product now because I was very loyal to one US skincare brand I’ve been using since year 2000 in the point I don’t want to try another skincare product. But since the last 5 years I start to open my heart for other brands and products. Some was a hit and some was a miss.
I was interested in trying this product because some of beauty blog site recommend this product as one of the best Korean skincare cream. There are lots of possitive reviews about this product, so I give it a try. I bought this product for IDR 205.000 (USD 16) in a local online shop. Here is my review on Mizon All in One Snail Repair Cream.
Amber glass jar with black cap covered with an orange metallic box as its packaging. I don’t really like the box since it makes the product look cheap. But I find the amber glass jar makes the product looks expensive. For those who like to travel or having an active kids like me, this is quite troublesome.
I don’t really pay attention on every ingredients of my skincare so I also won’t discuss it detail here. I just know from my browsing activity about this product before decided to buy it that it contains 92% snail extracts. Imagining part of snail touch my skin is a little bit awkward at first. But since I try not to imagine anything and just try it, I find it normal now.
This product has been said hydrates, helps improve the appearance of fine lines, and helps reduce the appearance of acne scarring and blemishes. Ideal for oily and acne-prone to combination skin types.
I like how light the texture is (more like milky gel than cream). This product is unscented and it is definitely an added value for me.
But the cons are : i did’t see a significant impact in my skin, even after two weeks of usage, I feel my skin tend to be dryer. I have stop and reapllied it, but the same thing occurs. My skin got drier.
I think you need to add another hydrating cream after you apply this product
Nope. I definitely going to try another product that feels more suitable for my skin.
I’m going to share my daily skin care routine. I’m not a beauty expert, so what I’m going to do is just sharing and hope the post could help you.
I am one of those people who believe that maintain your skin since early age is very important.
I tend to be so loyal to one brand if I do really find the significant result in my skin using that product. I have been using Clinique since my first step to enter college (around year 2000) because it could make my acne prone skin turn into a very fine skin 😘, and I continued to use it for 10 years. But after that I feel like my skin is getting used to it and didn’t get any great impact anymore, even my skin tend to dry and cracks. I do some research online and some people wrote that you couldn’t use the same skin care for a very long time.
Then I started to search for another skin care brand and nothing matched my skin. Either I had a red rash or just dry and cracked skin. One day, my good friend recommend me to try Laneige. Since I live in a full day aircon environment (office, car, house) then I gave it a try for the Laneige Water Bank Series and I loved it. So I continue to use it up until now (but I stil use some other brand that I already find matches my skin really well)
Here are my daily skin care routine :
Morning skin care routine :
I wash my face with Laneige Foam Cleanser Moisture
I continue to use Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner. The texture is quite similar with toner for those whose more familiar with western skin care.
Laneige Water Bank Essence_EX
Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream_EX. Laneige also having the gel variant but since my skin tend to be drier, so i choose the cream type.
Shiseido SPF 30 Sun Block
For night skin routine is almost the same with the morning one, but I only take the sunblock out and add the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX to the list, apply it after cream.
Well, those are the basic skin care I daily put on my skin. Every skin is different so the skin care product also varies due to your skin type. I have a normal to dry skin but oily in my T-Zone.
Here is the snap of the skin care product I have mentioned above.
Feel free to ask on the comment and I would review one of this product more detail next.
Thank you for reading and hope this post would benefited all of you. 😘😘😘
Hi, there! I am going to review the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Foam today. The reason I bought this product is because I want to try another Korean skin care product and I noticed that Innisfree brand famous for its natural ingredients. So I started googling, searching Innisfree cleansing foam review and decided to gave this product a shot.
The moment I write this review, I already finished the cleanser. So I think I am eligible to write the review. Packaging : I like the color of the packaging (combination light brown and dark brown). Like any other cleanser it comes with tube packaging, so nothing special. Ingredient List:
Water, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, PEG-32, Butylene Glycol, Potassium Hydroxide, Lauric Acid, Hydrated Silica, Lauryl Glucoside, Volcanic Ash (Jeju Scoria), Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, Disodium EDTA, Lauramide DEA, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Mannitol, Silica, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polyquaternium-7, PEG-100 Stearate, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance
Most of Innisfree products is having 5 free system: parabens, synthetic colorants, mineral oil, animal-originated ingredients, imdazolidinyl urea. So I think this product is safe for my skin.
I have a normal to dry skin. I have had an oily skin (mostly in T-zone area) back then, but aging makes my skin normal tend to dry sometimes.
The cleanser is having a granules in it so I think it also has an exfoliant function. But the granules is very soft and disappear after we rub it to the face.
Even though this product contains of fragrance, but I like the smell. It’s very soft fragrance. For me who doesn’t like skin care with fragrance feels that the fragrance is tolerable.
And the most important is after I wash my face with this product my skin doesn’t feel stiff at all, it gives a supple feeling.
I bought this product online from http://www.koreabuys.com for only IDR 99,000 or around USD 8. So it is a value for money product.
So, would I repurchase? Yes, I will. For a USD 8 product, it has a good quality.
